Excellent Pub Stay

helpful attitude proper coffee
The staff displayed helpful attitudes, always ready to assist with any inquiry. Food in both the restaurant and the outside pizza kitchen had excellent quality. The room was clean, and I appreciated the proper coffee provided. It was a big tick. I found the trip enjoyable and it ended too quickly.
The staircase leading up to the rooms was a bit challenging. I parked at the far end of the car park because the hotel was busy. The car park lacked proper lighting and this felt dangerous.
Service
9/10
Every member of the team was super pleasant, and they were efficient. The staff seemed focused and well-trained, so their roles were discharged faultlessly. It was a privilege to be a part of this experience.
Dining
9/10
The food had great quality. I had a hearty lunch that included venison from the specials board. The dishes came with unusual, interesting and delicious flavors. Breakfast included locally produced ingredients. It was tasty.
Facilities
9/10
The rooms were beautifully presented, and they felt very comfortable. The pub layout seemed extraordinary with rooms very well designed for style. I was fortunate. I was upgraded to a room with a separate sitting room.

Charming Stay in Norfolk's Hidden Gem

friendly staff delicious dinner superb breakfast
I stayed in a dog friendly room for two nights. It met all our needs perfectly. Dinner was delicious both evenings (I especially enjoyed the fish). The staff were attentive. Breakfast was superb, setting us up for our day exploring the local area.
The 'milk' situation in the room was a bit confusing. I had to search for fresh milk hidden in a fridge on the landing. Clearer instructions or a small carton in the room would have been helpful.
Rooms
9/10
The large room had lovely bookshelves filled with books and offered a charming, quiet atmosphere. The bathroom was spacious, as big as most hotel rooms by itself and offering good accommodation.
Location
10/10
The village features an iconic and pretty setting, complete with a church, village store, and pond. The area offers easy access to the wonderful North Norfolk beaches. Sandringham is also conveniently nearby.
Facilities
9/10
The pub layout is extraordinary and very well designed for both style and comfort. A good sized carpark offers a practical amenity arriving by car. The hotel also provides a lovely overhead shower.
